Shopling is built by the two of us, Lucas Cai and Jonathan Wirtz.
We kept noticing the same thing about Etsy: sellers do almost everything right, the product, the photos, the care, and then fall down on the one part that decides whether anyone ever finds them. Etsy is a search engine, and most sellers were never taught how its search actually works.
The tools that exist do not help enough. They either bury a new seller in charts and jargon, or cost more than a young shop earns. Every one of them hands you data and walks away, leaving the real work to you, usually late at night when you should be making things.
So we built the opposite: a tool that finds the problem, tells you in plain words, and does the work for you. That is Shopling, the Etsy shop that runs itself, so you can get back to making.
On your data: the free score and the optimizer run entirely in your browser. We do not store what you paste, and we never sell it. Our Chrome add-on reads only the Etsy listing page you have open. It never logs into your account and asks for no access to your shop.
On honesty: we are brand new, and we will not pretend otherwise. No invented reviews, no made-up numbers. When we show you a figure it is real, or it is clearly labeled an estimate.
